It\u2019s basically a clamp with three quick detach cups that fits on your mil spec buffer tube.<\/p>\n<p>The selling points here are 1) it\u2019s fully ambidextrous, 2) it\u2019s made in the US and, best of all, 3) it doesn\u2019t require you to disassemble your AR-15 to install a sling mount. It\u2019s perfect for those of us who prefer a single point sling and don\u2019t want to mess with replacing the lower\u2019s end plate or hassling with a staked castle nut.<\/p>\n<p>I loved the idea, so I got one.<\/p>\n<p>Only one problem. I forgot that my AR has a commercial buffer tube. If you\u2019re not familiar, that means it has a slightly larger diameter than a mil spec buffer tube. It also meant I couldn\u2019t use my new sling mount.<\/p>\n<p>Lucky for me, I hadn\u2019t returned the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetruthaboutguns.com\/gun-review-brace-built-modern-carbine-mc6\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Brace Built Modern Carbine<\/a> yet that JWT had recently reviewed. With three mounting options, both lefties and righties will find a position that works for them.<\/p>\n<p>MSRP is $47, but I\u2019ve seen them online for as low as $30.
