Governor Shapiro is trying to assault your Second Amendment and privacy rights in his proposed 2024-2025 Pennsylvania budget.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Shapiro proposes to establish the Office of Gun Violence within the Pennsylvania Commission for Crime and Delinquency. This new office would be nothing more than a propaganda machine to justify more calls for gun control.<\/strong><\/p>\n Plus, the $37.5 million increase for the Violence Intervention and Prevention program is nothing more than government pork to nonprofits, schools, and municipalities that are usually hostile to our Second Amendment rights.<\/p>\n If that wasn\u2019t bad enough, Shapiro\u2019s budget calls for an additional $1.5 million to increase staffing at the Pennsylvania State Police to audit and harass lawful firearms retailers.<\/p>\n The budget would also allocate more staff to the Pennsylvania Criminal Intelligence Center (PaCIC) to expand social media monitoring to \u201cintervene before online grievances escalate to violence.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n That\u2019s right, Shapiro\u2019s budget would increase funding to the Pennsylvania State Police to spy on your social media in some Orwellian scheme to monitor your online behavior.<\/p>\n And it couldn\u2019t be clearer that Shapiro wants to put as many firearms retailers out of business as he can, just like the Biden Administration.<\/p>\n The Pennsylvania Senate is the firewall to oppose these draconian measures.
