California\u2019s<\/a>\u00a0Democratic Attorney General Rob Bonta\u00a0announced<\/span><\/a>\u00a0the Office of Gun Violence Prevention (OGVP) on Wednesday, making California the first state to establish such a group.<\/p>\n \u201cThis moment of crisis demands more than thoughts and prayers \u2014 we need action now,\u201d\u00a0Bonta\u00a0said<\/span><\/a>\u00a0in a press release.\u00a0\u201cThat is why as California Attorney General, I am doubling down on California\u2019s\u00a0gun\u00a0safety efforts:\u00a0I am defending our commonsense\u00a0gun\u00a0safety laws in court\u00a0and\u00a0cracking down on the surge of untraceable ghost\u00a0guns.
