The fight to stop Congress\u2019 Continuing Resolution (CR) from expiring in December \u2013 and consequently letting a lame duck Congress pack a bunch of gun control measures into the 2023 government funding bill \u2013 may begin THIS EVENING.<\/p>\n
Most election watchers expect the Democrats to lose control of the House in the November election. So if the CR expires in December, Pelosi\u2019s defeated House majority could pass 10 ghastly gun control measures before they officially vacate Congress in January.<\/p>\n
Two loyal allies of GOA, Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) in the House and Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) in the Senate, are leading the fight to stop the CR from expiring in December.<\/p>\n
But GOA is bringing in reinforcements for Rep. Roy\u2019s and Sen. Lee\u2019s battle.<\/p>\n
We\u2019re calling on GOA members like YOU to bombard the House and Senate with letters urging them NOT to let the CR expire in December.<\/p>\n
