Washington, D.C. \u2013 Spokesmen for Gun Owners of America (GOA) and the Gun Owners Foundation (GOF) issued the following statements in advance of President Biden\u2019s second State of the Union Address this evening from the House Chamber on Capitol Hill.\u00a0GOA spokesmen are available for interviews to react.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cThis administration has made it quite clear they have no interest in protecting the right to keep and bear arms. Instead, it appears as though their primary goal is to weaponize the ATF to harass gun owners, dealers, and anyone else who supports the Second Amendment,\u201d\u00a0<\/em>said Aidan Johnston, Director of Federal Affairs.<\/strong>\u00a0\u201cGOA is working closely with 2A champions in the House and Senate to check this rogue administration and make it clear that the public will not be intimidated.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n Erich Pratt, GOA\u2019s Senior Vice President, said:\u00a0<\/strong>\u201cI expect we\u2019ll hear about the need to ban \u2018assault weapons\u2019 tonight, but what our leadership should be demanding from Congress is empowering everyday citizens to protect themselves and ensuring that soft targets, like gun free zones, are eliminated.
